Hilary is described as a creative’s creative. Born in Scarborough, Ontario, her affinity to make art was evident at a very young age and nurtured by an aunt and a grandmother who both shared a love of painting and the Canadian Landscape. Today, Hilary tells her story with a strong focus on wild beauty, through oil and acrylic on canvas.
In her early years, she was mentored by Jack Anthony Batten, a prominent Toronto artist teaching at Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate. She considers him a big influence in her art and an inspiration in her life.
She on went to graduate from the International Academy of Design and Technology, where she attended a multi-discipline design program which included fine art, interior design, fashion design and art history.
Excelling in careers in both fashion and interiors, in 2019 Hilary left the corporate world to pursue a career in Fine Art.
